PPL!! Pls try to stay away from MAS airline..

Personal Experience:

Took a flight from Penang to SG on New Year's Day, and the plane had and engine failure in mid-air!!

First time in my life I felt real panic during flight..

The take off was rather uneventful, thank goodness for that! ( imagine the engine died during take off, omg, the plane is sure to crash laa!!)

It was during mid-air when the captain announced that the main engine was shut down and the plane was running on secondary engine and thus had to make an emergency landing in KLIA.. Landing was rather jerky, but safe nonetheless.. And we had to land in a totally unoccupied place where there was no other planes and passengers in sight, except for a whole row of emergency land vehicles who were waiting for us already...

Got stuck in the plane for half an hour while they checked on the engine.. when we were allowed to leave, we could still see the plane engine parts sticking out from the hatch and the smart-looking-people-who-suppose-to-be-the-engineers-i-think talking into walkie talkies still...

And the most ridiculous part of the whole event was the air stewardness who announced the standard landing welcoming speech!! ( Thank you for travelling with...... we hope you had a pleasent journey..... hope to see you again..) HELLO!? You had an engine failure during a one hour flight!! ".... see you again"!?

Anyway, from the way the captain spoke over the PA system, we could tell that he's stressed up.. LOL... I mean, at least he had the IQ to apologise to us about the incident (unlike the airstewardess, are they all suppose to be "flower vase" and thus brainless?).. and he even said "... sorry for the inconvenience caused.... thank you for your co-operation, and uh, bye-bye *hangs up*)...

sigh...

The plane was a boeing 737.. I was told its an outdated plane?

Right, since somebody had to voice out her concern about my absence from here, I'll give a small update on life.. (keke, actually I suddenly remembered about blogger last night after it diasppeared from my things-to-do list for uh, quite some time.. hehe)

So i got my driving license a few days back.. yup, I was over 21 yrs old when i got it.. can u believe how dumb i feel? grrr.... taking the driving test with a bunch of form 5 graduates.. giggle giggle all the way.... and a whole lot of them failed juz the parking part...... geez.... stress me juz to watch them....

Anyway, i got mine without any major hiccups.. (thank goodness) and after a few days of practise in town, my parents decided I'm safe enough and allowed me drive to Sitiawan today.. ( its a total of 3hr drive on trunk roads..)

My comment?

HOW ON EARTH DO PEOPLE DRIVE WITH MANUAL??!!

Juz accelarating and breking is enough to keep me busy.... Clutch some more???

Haiz... another point to take note... M'sian "P" license is really useless... up till now I still can't really react to emergencies... combined with high speed?? The Ultimate Recipe for Disaster.. O.o

It's raining again. The third consecutive day.

Raining reminds me of home. When I was young, it used to rain every week in my home town, aka the wettest town in Peninsula M'sia. But as time goes on, even the weather there changes.

It has been so long since it rained like this. If only I had the time to appreciate the rain. The greyness of the sky, the falling droplets of water that creates a misty curtain, the creation of puddles of water and the ripples formed in them...

Lol... Just finished fighting with an accountant team-mate about business plans.. Not that I have anything against him, but our views on what-3M-should-do is so different..

And considering that I have not been very active in the group, (oh well, I basically have been blur about everything cuz first of all, some of them are current-scholars, and all of them know each other before this group was formed, plus, I'm the only girl there), I think the whole group was surprised that I literally argued for 15min with him..

Haha... had fun though....

Having my mid terms right now, but decided to blog, just a bit...

Everyone seems so busy nowadays, I missed the gatherings we had in JC.. or maybe its because most of us are just to lazy to meet up now that we're staying apart from each other.. Well,, what to expect? Most free time are given to those most important to us, right? So there's - study, CCA, family, GF/BF, rest..... yada-yada..... friends-who-don't-stay-close goes to the end....

Sad...

Still can't change the fact that I don't want to talk to friends that have paired up... They really stress people, although they may not know it...

Anyway, I realise A LOT of people have exams on V-Day... and I really mean A LOT... Not only me, there's NUS people also, and a few of the M'sia colleges as well... Weird... Is this a coincidence??

Am I avoiding something? Feels like I am...

*Sea-DRAGON, not seahorse.... One of e clearest photos I took... cuz the subject was staying still... hehe... my photographic skills "de-proved" a little..

*pharaoh cuttlefish... I find this erm, fish, quite graceful... I even got a movie of it swimming...

*turtle diet...

I'm too lazy to upload e rest of the photos... majority of it quite blur... Nevertheless, all movies I took were quite clear.. Looks like my hands are steady enough.. hehe.. I'll remember to take movies instead next time...

Other than taking photos, I did learn about some interesting facts about sea-creatures... Eg: how to differentiate male/female turtles/sharks, some life-form that live in 2'C water (also known as ice angels, cuz they supposedly looks like angels... but I think they have the "devil's horn", not the halo.... :X)

Three months, 12 weeks, one semester..

Time really flies, it has been a year since A-levels, and now it's the end of the first semester in school..

It was just less than half a year ago when I didn't even know where my future lies.. ( not that I'm clear right now, I'm still wondering whether I took the right course, I don't even know what a business student would work as.. apart from marketing... and I'm really bad at writing and talking which is suppose to be the trademark of business students....)

As the exam draws near, we are given more time to study on our own. Finally, a breather... I suddenly realize that I don't have friends that I can seek help from.. and I'm wondering how my social life is going to progress in Uni.. It's been a semester in school and strictly speaking, I don't feel connected to anyone.. Is it my brought up that's so different? Or is it that I'm finally living among the "Singaporeans" and not "foreigners" anymore??

A mere 12 weeks, aka 12 lessons for each module, less than 20 times you meet a person.. how does one make friends? We are so focused on getting the best grade we can, if you're lousy or you don't fit in, you get left out.... It's so different from JC when we had two years, taking our own sweet time to improve our grades and nurture our friendship along the way... I guess staying in hostel with your schoolmates does provide ample opportunities for one to spend time with others..

Come to think of it, I suppose work life is the same, maybe even worst... with 5.5 working days a week, minus the time with GF/BF/spouse, where would one be able to find time with friends? unless you're working in the same company....

Just a few days ago, a found an ex-classmate's blog, which kinda link me to a few other ex-classmates.. to think that they are actually still in touch although they are miles apart while me, staying less than an hour's journey from my friends, haven't talked or met up with each other just to catch up....

Out of my five modules, two are over and done with...

Don't even know whether I should be happy... On one hand, I do not need to worry about so many modules anymore; on the other hand, I really dread knowing the results of these two modules. Reason being very simple, both are project-based modules which require writing reports, which I can't handle properly.

When I stared at my lappy, I was lost for a moment. Didn't know what to work on, the modules that took up like 70%of my effort was over..

gosh, its been soooo long since the last entry..... and i tot that i've gotten the hang of blogging.....so i'm not good in expressing myself....

Juz had gp emergency lec two days ago... not reali useful...i mean, i noe wat i'm suppose to do but hello, easier said den done, k? especially with my command of english.... -.-ll

bh still haven't called me.... T.T

and i'm having physics test in like....two hours....

and prelims in two weeks....

JC life is so sad.....

Geez, juz when i tot i shld do better in my exams bec i sacrificed my hol....wham, i don't noe more than half the paper... -__-ll

Its the 2nd week of term 3... week 6 and we'll hav pre-prelims... meaning only 3 weeks to buck up on....lets see... phy, chem, maths and gp....basically everything!! and sth very bad -- i don't noe what i don't noe...great, how am i suppose to study!? and week 10, prelims...and 6 weeks later...a'lvl....its SOOO goin to be hectic....i don't understand how ppl can last thru the exams and still do so well....

and i realised sth...spore is reali small...no place to go, no place to sit and relax....OMG, its like a cage....

oh well, life goes on...

sigh...

sigh...hols goin to be over soon...meaning exam's in one week and i dun even noe which subject's on which day...pathetic... i had the time table for like 3 weeks n i havn't even looked at it...not to mention i didn't reali study the whole hol...no wonder i screwed up my mock paper....exams here reali stresses me out...i had no stress symptoms during o'lvl and its only a MOCK TEST [not even a real test!!!] and i'm stressed....

i'm soooooo dreading the up comin exams.....a'lvl is in 4 months time....a "make-or-break time" or at least tats how my mum calls it....so wat if i get into the local u??
no.1, its not like its easy to get in
no.2, even if i somehow got in, i don't think i'll get a scholarship or any merit award so how do i solve my i-can't-afford-to-pay prob??

oh well....at least there's sth to look forward aft the hols....harry potter's out...[ok, i'm trying to be optimistic but i guess i'm not succeeding....]

went wit fsy to watch last nite...seriously, it's still a typical fairy tale...who said it's a fairy tale gone wrong??anyway...my legs hurt real bad after tat...walked to clarke quay since 9pm and chatted [stone alot actually] den went back at 1130pm..[ok, i blew curfew...better take note of time nxt time...]..den had to help prepare sy's b'day.....cw's mash potato's quite nice...maybe can make it again...aft the celebration, dily-daly until abt 130am, couldn't stand my legs any longer so went back and slp...

sh goin back today...its goin to be real quiet for the nxt week...oh well...tat'll probably make me study at ee's place....

omg...every time i come here to update my blog, i'll have to spend the first 10-15 mins in pk's blog...she seriously updates it...sigh...make me feel like i'm very lazy...lets see...she said sth abt a dream...geez...i'm getting a headache aft reading it...dunno who is who...[no offence pk =) ]...only thing tat caught my attention was tat sth "sharp"... pk, pls don't try anything funny...

Last sat's was camp...the day all the ex-co were waiting for....ok, i was happy tat my responsibility towards lib is over...but den tks to mh & sy... suddenly i realised tat we won't be working together anymore...not like i miss working wit "some" ppl... but there won't be any late nite, last min meetings, no more obstacle in our plannings.... no more reason to talk to them....no more reason to find them.... i'll miss tat alrite...Tat nite before slp-ing, i almost wanted to cry...knowing tat all of us (almost 20) will be saperating aft a-lvls....[NO ONE is allowed to talk abt tis in front of me, understood?? i dun wan to think abt it...not now at least....yes-yes i noe tat day will come but LATER....enjoy our days together first....]

sun. watched pirates. so all my roomies got to see FSY [ n a few more frens] ....hmm...didn't get to chat wit him, a little disappointing but den again, somehow i talk to him more thru sms....he changed since the last time i saw him...well so hav i...

Darn... Emoing for the last few days ady... still cannot stop... everything seems to piss me off... weird...like ry would say...siao ting tong ady....nvr knew my control over emotion's tt bad...must be bec lack of prac...

so rare tt i update tis blog...the last update was like months ago... unlike pk, who practically updates her blog every day....maybe juz feel like do sth diff for a change...

why are there SOOOOO many ppl standing behind me and reading wat i'm writing?!

anyway...hostelmates celebrated my birthday...fruitpunch, not a bad idea......at least i was feeling happy for the nite...

haha..bear's expression when she saw me before the cele was seriously "shocked"...nvr seen her eyes so big...usually is like...hmm...wat adjective to use... "bear" ...keke, "sloth bear" to be exact...then send mh to get me...ok, he didn't reali blew his cover but i wouldn't hav found out if he'd juz sms and say there's a meeting instead...wrong move..it took me like 2 sec aft i closed the door to suspect sth's amist...got a weird egg (literally) fr CCA frens and a hair pin fr my rmates....sigh, pk and sh so amusing...like if i don't like their present it'll be the world's end (which reminds me...i'm goin to watch pirates =) , seriously hope FSY doesn't fang fei ji...if not hav to find another person to take the tic) ...went into the pool too...now i realise my eyesight reali bad...can't see a thing aft taking off my specs...well, it was fun...at least better than last year's...

hehe....dunno wat to write...aiyo...look at the font oso dun like...remind me again why must we put blogs here?! den again...finally can stop khe-un from bugging me to make a blog...leave she-an only...haha... i'll laugh everytime when recalling u being the guinea pig and making accounts everywhere to find a suitable blogweb...[seriously, i dun think we hav the time to update tis often....]

sports day today...

ok, i planned to do some reading....but den attention was pulled onto the field....keke.... very fun watching eveyone running....some looked like they're being totured, others looked so relaxed...and to think i always skip sports day and hang out in classrooms...

our stars of the day....

cinny -- can almost run as fast as guys, missed by 1-2 sec only.... fastest girl runner...hooray for her!!!
khe-un -- ei, seriously, ur pose very funny le...somemore face like wan to strangle ppl...lol
beh -- haha, nvr underestimate someone who looks slumber
jess -- ran 7 sec faster than training....either she was slacking during training or she got REALLY excited...
sam -- yeah!! managed to outrun a whole bunch of runners...so proud of her....

ryan -- 1 sec faster than cinny... -.-ll
roger --not bad, can catch up with other ppl...
christopher -- complained his butt painful...directly behind teacher somemore....
mun hon -- looks like a stick man running at the far side of the track
lizzy -- acceleration super huge..fastest guy runner... and to think he looks so slumberly...

all in all... guys in our class are fast runners.... [6 of them in the top 10 academic perfomers in the whole sch....]... sigh, i feel very useless...

geez, dun wan to think ady...the more i think the sadder i'll be....
